Results Men TRENTINO BetClic (ITA) vs. Knack Randstad ROESELARE (BEL) 3:1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22) WomenEnion Energia DABROWA GORNICZA (POL) vs. Asystel NOVARA (ITA) 2:3 (22-25, 18-25, 27-25, 25-23, 13-15) Dinamo MOSCOW (RUS) vs. Zarechie ODINTSOVO (RUS) 0:3 (20-25, 17-25, 19-25)

The very much awaited Russian derby starring Dinamo MOSCOW and Zarechie ODINTSOVO set tonight the tone for the Playoffs 12 with an amazing show of strength for the girls of coach Vadim Pankov who clipped an unexpected 3:0 victory against last year's runner-ups. This was the first time ever that two teams from the Moscow Region played each other in the CEV Indesit Champions League. Dinamo initially enjoyed the right momentum but then the hosts appeared pretty shaky in reception as well as in the serving area. This negative trend for the Muscovites continued also in the second and third set, with Zarechie eventually finishing the job much quicker than foreseen. Coach Pankov stated after the match: "We were longing for this victory and my girls perfectly executed our plans". Even though she could not join her mates on the court as she initially registered for Universitet BELGOROD and later on eventually moved to Moscow, Lyubov Yagodina said that psychologically Dinamo suffered a lot tonight and could not keep up with the good performances displayed in the prelims. With Olga Fateeva and Tatiana Kosheleva having led the way for Zarechie tonight, the return match scheduled for next week seems to be quite a demanding task for Dinamo that will have first to score a 3:0 and then clip also the golden set to qualify for the Playoffs 6.
